As our Dental Hygienist, not only will you be responsible for providing preventative services to our patients, you will also educate our patients about the need for responsible oral health care as you take care of their cleaning needs. Additionally, you will examine our patients for indicators of oral disease and be responsible for X-rays and applying fluoride treatments and dental sealants.
People skills are a must, since you will be interacting closely with the patient and the dentist, and will set the tone for the patient’s whole visit. In addition to assisting with dental procedures, you must be detail-oriented and sensitive to the patient’s needs. Other qualifications include, but are not limited to, an associate degree from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program and current state licensure.
